Vilas received his B.Pharm from University of Pune in 1989. He subsequently obtained his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from University of Pune in 1991 with a thesis on Synthesis of Novel Antispasmodic Agents and was awarded Gold Medal for securing First Rank. He has worked with Cipla, Neo Pharma, Plethico at various positions in Brand Management and also worked with Pharmacy Colleges in the capacity of Asst. Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He worked with Labindia Instruments Pvt. Ltd. as Product Specialist (Pharma & Life Science) and General Manager (Pharma & Life Science). Presently working with SMS Instruments Pvt Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Surface Measurement Systems UK, as a Director of Sales and Operations-India.
